A return to what started it all.

As America comes into another election year, of course, politics are

dominating much of our conversation.

A lot of different opinions and ideas are being broadcast for the voters to have to digest.

Working in a retail setting I get the pleasure of hearing a lot of opinions,

some not to bad, others are really out in space.

With everything floating around today there is one thing really important we

are missing. JESUS!!

I have always believed that a country's success, or failure has everything to

do with the Spiritual health of The Church.

It doesn't take a degree in Theology to see that there has been a decline in

the Churches Spiritual health for sometime now.

We have been more concerned about pleasing people than pleasing God.

We have taken the moving and operation of The Holy Spirit and replaced it

with entertainment.

Seldom, if ever is the call to live Godly and pursue Holiness heard in the

pulpits today.

To be frank, the Church has for the most part abandoned the principals that

God told us would work.

We find in the pages of Scripture an example of where we are today.

Judges 15:15-17 And he found a new jawbone of an donkey, and put forth

his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. [16] And Samson

said, With the jawbone of an donkey, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an

donkey have I slain a thousand men. [17] And it came to pass, when he

had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his

hand, and called that place Ramath-lehi.

Through something that seemed to be insignificant and for the most part,

useless, God would use this jawbone as the instrument for victory.

But as soon as the victory was won Samson cast away the very instrument

that won his battle. What he failed to recognize was this weapon would continue to sustain him

after the battle.

Judges 15:18-19 And he was sore athirst, and called on the Lord , and

said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant:

and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

[19] But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came

water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he

revived: wherefore he called the name thereof En-hakkore, which is in Lehi

unto this day.

The very instrument that brought the Church its victory in the beginning

( And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were

assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they

spake the word of God with boldness.)

I hear The Lord calling His Church to pick up the jawbone again. A return to

prayer and His Word.

Want to see our country turn around, want to see personal victory, join us at

Redemption Celina Saturday nights from 7 to 8 pm.

Then bring your best praise Sunday morning at 10:30.

We love you and appreciate you.

In His Service,

Pastor Cole
